Job summary

It’s A Secret Med Spa is seeking a Laser Technician to deliver high-quality laser and aesthetic treatments while upholding medical protocols. You will collaborate with Mid-Level Providers, train peers, and ensure a premium, compliant spa experience for clients. A flexible weekend schedule, HIPAA compliance, and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Laser Technician license issued by the Department of Licensing is required.
• Medical Esthetician License issued by the State is required.
• Be able to work weekends and have a flexible schedule is required.
• Strong knowledge of laser and skin treatment procedures is essential.
• Ability to self-promote and engage in company social media within guidelines.
• Must protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA and policy.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required.
• High integrity and ethical foundation expected.
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Able to reach above shoulder height, crawl, kneel and push/pull 50 lbs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to clients to enhance satisfaction and productivity.
• Perform laser services within licensed scope.
• Collaborate with Mid-Level Providers for client care.
• Assist in training peers and new hires to maintain standards.
• Maintain medical protocols per state regulations and HIPAA.
• Maintain an upscale, professional appearance and dress code.
• Perform laser services including Laser Hair Removal and Photo-facials.
• Provide esthetic services like derma-planning, SkinPen microneedling, facials, peels, HydraFacial.
• Offer body contouring such as CoolSculpting.
• Develop client-centered skincare plans and upsell products/services.
• Conduct full aesthetic consultations for short/long term goals.
• Keep treatment areas clean and organized.
• Assist with inventory and timely storage of orders.
• Ensure accurate and timely charting for client records.
• Pursue continuing education as directed by management.
• Attend team meetings and provide input.
• Report client concerns to senior staff and management.

A Day in the Life of a Laser Technician

• Provide exceptional service to our clientele to enhance customer satisfaction, experienceand productivity.
• Perform job duties within the scope of practice under your issued licenses/certifications.
• Work closelywith the Mid-Level Providers as needed for client care.
• May assist to trainpeers and new hires, to ensure Company standards
• Maintain strict medical protocols for all laser services, regarding state regulation, HIPAA and all other regulatory compliance programs that are set for by the Company.
• Maintain a professional neat appearance individually and adheres to approved dress code so ensure upscale atmosphere of the med spa.
• Perform laser services that are not limited to but include;Laser Hair Removal. Photo-facials
• Perform aesthetic servicesthat are not limited to but include;derma-planning, SkinPen micro-needling with and without PRP, facials, chemical peels, and HydraFacial.
• Perform body contouring services that are not limited to but include; CoolSculpting.
• Provide a client centered customized plan to meet their skin care needs through performing services, selling products and treatments.
• Perform full aesthetic consultations to meet all client's aesthetic short/long term goals.
• Maintain an elite, clean and organized work/treatment areas throughout the location.
• Assist withunpacking and storingorders acquiredwithin locations appropriately and timely.
• Assist with maintaining an appropriate inventory by communicating to management of inventory needs and inventorycounts.
• Ensure charting is accurate, timely, and completely performed to best depict all client appointments and experiences.
• Attendcontinuing education as requested by Clinical Management to excelin various skillsets.
• Attendand provideinput at all team meetings organized by your direct supervisor and clinical management.
• Ensure that client concerns are reported in a timely manner to the Senior Laser Technician, Manager, Mid-Level Provider and Operations Manager

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• Laser Technician license issued by the Department of Licensing is required.
• Medical Esthetician License issued by the State is required.
• Be able to work weekends and have a flexible schedule is required.
• Must possess a strong and extensiveknowledge of laser, skin treatment procedures, esthetician practices and medical practice management.
• Ability to self-promote and engage in company social media with relation to meeting social media guidelines and expectations.
• Must understandpatient/client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policy.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for transportation.
• Maintains a high level of integrity with a strong ethical foundation.
• Must have sound judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
