Job summary

IFABCORP is seeking a skilled Laser Programmer to join our manufacturing plant team in Gastonia, NC. This role will program and operate CNC laser cutting, engraving, or welding machines to meet production requirements with high precision and efficiency.

The successful candidate will develop programs from engineering drawings, select laser parameters, and perform setup and calibration to ensure accurate results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and create computer programs for laser machines based on engineering drawings, specifications, or production requirements.
  • Select appropriate laser parameters, including power, speed, and focal length, for various materials and thicknesses.
  • Perform machine setup and calibration to ensure precise alignment and accuracy of the laser beam.
  • Operate and monitor laser machines during production runs to ensure optimal performance and adherence to programmed paths.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments to the program as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production supervisors to optimize processes and improve production efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laser programming, machine performance, or material processing.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Keep up‑to‑date with advancements in laser technology and programming techniques to enhance skills and knowledge.
