Job summary

Solestial, Inc. is seeking a Laser Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and scale laser-based manufacturing for solar cells and modules. You will run experiments, troubleshoot hardware, and implement automation across R&D and production environments.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Tooling, and Automation teams to design tooling, fixtures, and alignment setups, helping move innovative tech from development into full-scale production.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with lasers, optics, photonics, or laser-based materials processing.
• Experience solving technical problems and improving process performance.
• Ability to write basic logic scripts to automate equipment sequences.

Responsibilities

• Support development of laser processing techniques for solar cell and module fabrication.
• Run experiments, collect data, and help refine process settings.
• Develop and improve laser equipment automation scripts for R&D and manufacturing.
• Assist with installation, debugging, and commissioning of laser equipment.
• Contribute to transitioning processes from R&D/pilot to production environments.
