Apply in-depth knowledge of scientific and engineering principles to the development of prototypes and products including optical mounts, motors, optical devices and laser systems.
In particular, the successful candidate will work closely with a small interdisciplinary and international team to build and test a very high pulse energy femtosecond laser system. This large scale contract will produce one of the highest peak power lasers ever developed. This position will require you to translate raw ideas and concepts into detailed design and an operating, reliable laser system. The successful candidate may elect to participate in a number of international meetings with our partners in Europe.
