Job summary

Graepel North America seeks a skilled CNC laser operator to support metal fabrication. You will set up and run the laser, verify parts against blueprints, and perform routine maintenance.

Team collaboration and precise documentation are essential to ensure high quality, defect-free output in a Monday-Thursday shift with extended weekend expectations. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with measuring devices, forklift certification, and the ability to work

• Experience in manufacturing engineering or operations preferred.
• Operate forklift and obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC laser machine for metal fabrication.
• Retrieve programs, manage gases, nozzles and lenses for cutting.
• Understand metal fabrication processes and QA for parts.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on CNC laser.
• Prepare machinery and materials to produce defect-free parts.
• Verify work with blueprints and precision measuring tools.
• Complete work orders with correct quantities of good and defective parts.
• Follow schedule as determined by supervision.

Essential Functions Statements

• Ability to setup and operate CNC laser machine
• Knowledge and hands-on operation of CNC laser for metal fabrication including program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, lenses, etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication process and concepts.
• Provide routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs to CNC laser machine.
• Setup metal fabrication machinery and other production necessities to produce "0 defect" parts.
• Check accuracy of work using blueprints and precision measuring tools.
• Accurately complete work orders with correct quantities of good and defective parts.
• Work a regular schedule determined by supervisory management
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

• High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience required.

Experience:

• Ability to use Direct read measuring devices required.
• Ability to properly document paperwork.
• Previous experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication management and/or operations of low and mid-sized volume metal fabrication preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
• Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.
