Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Lexington, TN is seeking a manufacturing operator to run equipment and support line teams to meet production goals. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to quality standards, and effective communication with supervisors and coworkers.

You will inspect equipment, read production orders, operate a forklift and overhead crane, and handle materials. The position offers full-time hours with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or related area.
• Must have basic Microsoft knowledge.
• Experience with overhead crane, forklift and various pneumatic equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and guide line personnel to meet production goals.
• Inspect equipment for safety and maintain documentation.
• Read and understand production orders to ensure quality.
• Maintain productivity and meet quality requirements.
• Communicate clearly with team, supervisor and management.
• Stand for 8–12 hours daily.

JOB DETAILS

• Overhead Crane experience a PLUS
• Fiber Laser experience a PLUS
• Operates machine and instructs line help to safely meet production, customer, and company goals and requirements
• Support company Core Values, participate in Safe Work environment, and completes observations
• Inspect equipment for safety
• Read and understand a production order
• Meet company productivity requirements
• Meet company and customer quality requirements
• Use forklift, crane, and manual handling of materials, complete proper documentation for materials produced
• Abilityto read tape
• Good communication with Team, Supervisor, and Management
• Maintain promotability to Operator II and Operator III
• Standing and walking 8 to 12 hourseveryday
• Repetitive climbing on and off equipment and ladders

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a related area
• Must have basic Microsoft knowledge
• Experience with side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, and various pneumatic equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
