Job summary

Anchor Fabrication MS is seeking a skilled Laser Operator to set up and run laser equipment in a fast-paced shop. You will load materials, change tooling, and ensure safety and quality in every part.

You will read blueprints, inspect tooling and parts, perform minor repairs, and help prioritize orders to meet deadlines. The role requires standing for long hours and dependable attendance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven experience operating a laser.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Read, write and perform basic math calculations.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Punctual and dependable attendance.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, quality-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a laser.
• Load and unload material and change tooling.
• Inspect and maintain equipment for safety compliance.
• Correct safety issues prior to operations.
• Inspect parts per work-in-process procedures and ensure they meet specs.
• Resolve quality and mechanical problems; perform minor repairs.
• Prioritize production to meet customer orders on time.
• Maximize machine run time and productivity.
• Maintain machine and tooling; replace nozzles and lenses as needed.
• Work from blueprints, engineering specs and production schedules.
