Job summary

GA Systems LLC, based in Orange, CA, is seeking a Laser Operator to run and maintain laser equipment, cutting metal with precision while following safety procedures. First Shift availability with overtime as needed and strong attention to detail is required.

You will read blueprints and diagrams, set up cutting programs, handle material gauges, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate with the team to ensure quality and timely production in a stainless-steel fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year of Manufacturing Experience.
• Knowledge in Material Gauge and Type.
• Training in General Safety, Foreign Object Awareness, and Quality Systems Awareness.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and diagrams.
• Attention to Detail.
• Reasoning skills and Communication skills- verbal and written.
• Technical and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Loads materials into laser cutting machine, setting up cutting parameters.
• Selects proper cutting programs, proper materials and fixtures.
• Racks and restocks metal on metal racks.
• Makes proper set-ups for cutting operations.
• Detects and reports defective materials and questionable conditions to Supervisor.
• Performs routine maintenance as required, maintains cleanliness in work area and with machinery.
• Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
• Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform job successfully.
• Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
• Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
• Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
• Follows all department quality standards/criteria. Raises concerns and issues to management.
• Other duties as needed or required.
