Job summary

Equipto is seeking a Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role operates laser equipment to cut and process metal parts while upholding safety and quality standards.

Based in a clean, supportive environment, you will read blueprints, measure parts, adjust equipment, and help maintain inventory accuracy in our ERP system. The position offers a stable schedule (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) and opportunities for internal growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of machining or steel manufacturing experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand, lift 50–100 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and inspect parts for accuracy and quality.
• Measure parts using calipers, tapes, and gauges.
• Adjust laser tables to maintain tolerances and ensure quality.
• Operate forklifts and cranes safely to move materials.
• Update ERP/inventory transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members.
• Support production flow and other areas as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Read blueprints and inspect parts for accuracy and quality
• Measure parts using calipers, tape measures, pin gauges, and other tools
• Adjust laser tables and equipment to maintain tolerances and ensure quality
• Operate forklifts and cranes safely to move materials as needed
• Perform work order transactions accurately and update ERP/virtual inventory
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments
• Support production flow and assist in other areas as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
• Additional duties as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ year experience in machining or steel manufacturing required
• High school diploma or GED
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and push 50–100 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Basic math skills
• Conscious of inventory accuracy and ERP system use
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and cranes
• Capable of handling materials weighing up to 100 lbs
