Job summary

Lock Joint Tub is seeking a Laser Operator for 2nd or 3rd shift to verify, stage and process tubing for secondary operations. You will set up and operate laser equipment, move materials with forklift or crane, and document results in WIP and quality records.

You must read shop orders, perform dimensional and visual inspections, and ensure all specs meet contract requirements. Union environment requires shift flexibility and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• 3–6 months related manufacturing experience or training.
• Must be able to read and interpret shop orders and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and follow instructions to move materials.
• Verify staged material numbers against shop orders and WIP.
• Operate forklift, crane or hoist to load/move materials.
• Set up and operate laser machinery; document results in WIP/QA sheets.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure spec compliance.
• Scrap nonconforming product and adjust machines as needed.
