Job summary

Tate Americas, a Kingspan Data Solutions partner, seeks a Laser Operator to run CNC laser cutting equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will ensure precision, adherence to schedules, and quality standards while supporting safe operations and continuous improvement.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years’ experience with laser/CNC machines, plus ability to read drawings and operate basic production software. On-site role with competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC laser cutting machines to process sheet metal and other materials according to work orders.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts, ensuring proper handling and positioning.
  • Interpret work orders, technical drawings, and programming instructions to execute accurate cuts.
  • Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure production targets and deadlines are met while minimizing material waste.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, calibration, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or equipment issues to supervision.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including output, scrap, and downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

About the Role

The Laser Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting equipment to

produce high-quality components in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures precision, efficiency,

and adherence to production schedules and quality standards. The position supports safe operations and

continuous improvement within the production process.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate CNC laser cutting machines to process sheet metal and other materials according to

Additional Expectations

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistleblower service.
