Role Description The Laser Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in San Marcos, TX. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring laser cutting equipment to process stainless steel and aluminum materials according to customer specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting work orders and drawings, selecting appropriate materials, loading and unloading parts, performing basic machine adjustments, and ensuring accurate cuts and finishes. The Laser Operator will inspect finished products for quality, track production data, and coordinate with team members in operations, warehouse, and logistics to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets. Routine equipment checks, minor maintenance, and adherence to company safety procedures are essential aspects of this role.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Machine Operation and Laser Cutting for safe and efficient use of laser equipment.
  • Candidates should possess skills with Laser systems and related tools used in metal processing.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control to inspect parts, verify measurements, and maintain product standards.
  • Candidates should possess skills related to Operations Management, such as organizing workflows and meeting production schedules.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and reliability in a manufacturing environment.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and work around industrial machinery.
  • Previous experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar laser/machine operation role is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training in manufacturing or machining is a plus.
