Job summary

The Armor Group in Mason, Ohio seeks a Laser Operator to run, inspect, and adjust laser equipment on the second shift. You will mark parts, handle materials, and operate a tow motor and crane to support production goals.

A successful candidate has 3–5 years of laser experience, a solid attendance record, and Fanuc controls knowledge. This is a hands-on manufacturing role requiring reliability and safety awareness. You may perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience using a laser, preferably with LVD equipment.
  • Strong attendance history and reliability.
  • Experience programming Fanuc controls.
  • Ability to maintain and adjust the laser to spec.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and adjust the laser as required.
  • Work second shift if needed.
  • Mark parts accurately and inspect for quality.
  • Safely drive a tow motor and operate a crane.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job description

This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and adjusting the laser, as required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and adjusting the laser, as required
  • Working second shift if needed
  • Figuring material used - work from list to check parts
  • Marking parts properly
  • Knowing various types of metal
  • Driving a tow motor and operating a crane
  • Additional items as assigned by manager
PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY

This position interacts with other manufacturing personnel, area supervisor, and project manager.

COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • 3 - 5 years of experience using a laser (LVD experience)
  • Demonstrated strong past attendance record
  • Programming capabilities (Fanuc Controls)
  • Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and adjust laser as required
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
