Job summary

Exalta is seeking a Department Lead for our Bonita Springs, FL facility to guide shift teams and drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. You will train employees, resolve production issues, operate equipment as needed, and maintain accurate records.

Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills, plus ISO/FDA experience, are essential. Ideal candidates have at least three years in manufacturing, proficiency with measuring tools, and the ability to collaborate across departments to improve

Qualifications

• Three years of manufacturing experience in a machine shop.
• Experience in ISO/FDA environment preferred.
• Ability to read GD&T and interpret blueprints/work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and direction to department employees.
• Monitor hourly and daily performance against safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and other department goals.
• Help employees solve problems and remove obstacles to meeting production targets.
• Maintain Kanbans so supplies, consumables, and equipment are available when needed.
• Identify training needs and train employees on all shifts.
• Operate production equipment as needed; review blueprints and select tools, machines, and materials.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, and other departments to share information and resolve issues.
• Assist MRB with nonconformances and corrective actions.
• Report personnel concerns to management and act as a point of contact for department employees.
• Build cross-shift relationships and use resources effectively to boost efficiency.
• Meet established quality, efficiency, and effectiveness standards.
• Ensure documentation is complete and employees clock in/out in ERP.
