Job summary

Autokiniton US Holdings, Inc. in Elkton, MI is seeking a full-time technician to ensure engineered processes and equipment align with production needs, targeting minimal downtime and an OA of 95%.

You will oversee laser department capital equipment projects, define scope, timing, cost and approve revisions, while interfacing with management to drive improvements and compliance with MIOSHA and TS16949/ISO-14001 procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees projects on new equipment in Laser Department.
• Defines project in regards to timing and performance cost.
• Gives direction and approves revisions to project scope and/or timing.
• Interfaces/introduces projects to other management staff.
• Defines project in regards to timing and performance cost.
• Gives direction and approval for revisions to project scrap and timing.
• Interfaces and introduces projects to other management staff.
• Responsible for Buyoff at tool shop of laser fixtures and programs.
• Complete SPC charts as needed.
• Provides direction to production technical support to improve production processes to reduce scrap or costs.
• Trains technicians and maintenance personnel on proper trouble shooting process.
• Eliminate quality spills from lasers.
• Keeps up to date on new technology available in the market and educate personnel on its use.
• Creates and proposes new ideas on making the plant more competitive in the market.
