Job summary

Absolics Inc. is seeking an Engineer who is bilingual in Korean to join our Covington, GA team. You will develop and optimize inspection and metrology processes, operate AOI and Flying Probe systems, and drive quality improvements across manufacturing lines.

The role requires strong data analysis, problem-solving abilities, and the willingness to travel domestically and internationally. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required, with Electrical Engineering preferred, and experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering-related field; electrical engineering preferred.
• Proficiency in Korean communication is required due to frequent coordination with Korean partners.
• Willingness to work overtime, night shifts, and weekends as needed.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally, including Korea.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience with data analysis and problem solving using statistical tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and standardize inspection and metrology processes.
• Operate, maintain, and improve AOI and Flying Probe inspection processes.

• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.

• Perform DOE and optimize process conditions.
• Participate in cross-organizational root cause and failure analyses.
• Operate process management per customer specifications.
• Support SOPs and recipe standardization.
• Carry out SPC tasks using statistical tools.

ENGINEER - Bilingual in Korean

Location: COVINGTON, GA

Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and standardize inspection and metrology processes.
• Operate, maintain, and improve AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and Flying Probe inspection processes.
• Manage preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of inspection and metrology equipment.
• Analyze inspection data and support yield improvement initiatives.
• Investigate product quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with equipment vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
• Evaluate and support the implementation of new inspection and metrology technologies.
• DOE(Design of experiment) and optimize the process condition.
• Participate cross-organizational team of engineers to identify root cause and failure analysis.
• Operate process management based on customer specification.
• Support standardization of recipes and establish SOPs through concrete engineering.
• Perform statistical process control tasks through the use of statistical tools.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Korean communication is required. Frequent communication with Korean company requires effective Korean language skills.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering-related field. (Preferred: Electrical Engineering) Other relevant majors include Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Willingness to work overtime, night shifts, and weekends as required.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including travel to Korea.
• Effective organizational, interpersonal, and strong communication skills are required.
• Analytical thinking by data science and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with semiconductor/Substrate integration processes.
• Hands-on experience with E-Test (Electrical Testing) processes and equipment is required.

• Experience with optical inspection or metrology equipment.
• Experience with AOI, Flying Probe, E-Test, or other inspection processes.
• Experience in semiconductor, PCB, Glass Substrate, display, or related advanced manufacturing industries.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering-related field. (Preferred: Electrical Engineering) Other relevant majors include Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related disciplines.

Experience

• 1-year experiences in Semiconductor, PWB, OSAT preferred but not required.

Salary

• $70,000 – $80,000
