Job summary

NPSG Global LLC in Sparks, NV is seeking a Programmer to interpret blueprints, design programs, and set up lasers to produce components per the program. You will run tests, adjust processes, and ensure products meet specifications.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, programming and operating CNC machines, performing minor preventive maintenance, inspecting for defects, cross-training on all CNC machines, and collaborating with Engineering to verify drawings.

Qualifications

• Ability to discern materials including carbon hot rolled steel, aluminum and stainless steels.
• Knowledge of bending, nesting and laser cutting software for programming machines.
• Reading blueprints, technical plans and work orders to determine product specs.
• Capable of reading measuring tools and using power/manual tools safely.
• Strong teamwork and communication with management and peers.

Responsibilities

• Read technical drawings and program/set up machines per blueprints.
• Program, set up and operate machines to perform production tasks and inspect output.
• Observe operations, perform minor maintenance, and notify when major service is needed.
• Cross-train on all CNC machines and collaborate with Engineering to verify drawings.
• Instruct others in machine set-up and operation; work 40-50+ hours as needed.
