LaSalle Investment Management in Chicago is seeking two Summer 2027 Rotational Summer Interns to support the Asset Management, Research & Strategy, and Transactions teams. Responsibilities

• Perform financial analyses, including Argus valuation models and Excel-based underwriting pro-formas and cash flow projections.
• Review and analyze potential leases and their financial impact on investments.
• Shadow analysts in annual operating budgets and quarterly re-forecasts.
• Provide analytical support to fund operations and asset management.
• Analyze macroeconomic and real estate market data.
• Conduct in-depth research and produce a final report with key insights.
• Assist with client reporting and investment memoranda presentations to the Investment Committee.
• Assist in evaluating and underwriting potential acquisitions for funds and separate accounts.
• Collaborate with interns on the 2027 capstone Project.

Join LaSalle – Where we develop future real estate investors for tomorrow, today! LaSalle Investment Management is seeking two Summer 2027 Rotational Summer Interns to join its Chicago office. The interns will primarily support the Asset Management, Research & Strategy, and Transactions teams.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of commercial real estate, financial, economic, and statistical concepts. A demonstrated interest in real estate, private equity, finance, and investment management is necessary. The interns can expect to work simultaneously with different team members on various projects. During this rotational program, the interns will be exposed to various business functions and asset classes, including office, industrial, retail, and multifamily property investments.

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

• Perform financial analyses, including Argus valuation models and Excel-based underwriting pro-formas, cash flow projections, and sensitivity analyses
• Review and analyze potential leases and their financial impact on an investment
• Shadow analysts in development of annual operating budgets and quarterly re-forecasts
• Provide analytical support to colleagues in the areas of fund operations and asset management
• Analyze and interpret macroeconomic and real estate market data
• Conduct in-depth research on a specialized topic through qualitative and quantitative analysis of relevant information and produce a final report highlighting key insights.
• Assist with client reporting and presentation preparation, including the presentation of investment memoranda to the firm’s Investment Committee
• Assist team members with evaluating and underwriting potential acquisitions on behalf of the firm’s commingled funds and separate accounts.
• Assist team members with preparation of investment memoranda to the firm’s Investment
• Committee Collaborate with fellow interns in participating in the 2027 capstone Project

Required Qualifications :

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program from a leading school in Business/Commerce, Economics, or Real Estate (preference will be given to candidates entering their final year of study), with a strong record of academic achievement.
• Demonstrable ability to self-motivate and deliver results. Able to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize as required to meet expectations.
• Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate, investment management, private equity, finance, etc.
• Working knowledge of economic and financial concepts and their application to commercial real estate and investment management.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical (financial and accounting), and research skills are required.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent numeracy and computer skills including MS Excel.
• Basic knowledge of Argus would be beneficial but not necessary.
• Internship open exclusively to rising seniors.

Expected compensation for this position:

7,268.00 – 10,884.00 USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
