Job summary

Pacific Seafood in Las Vegas is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow our food-service accounts. You will develop customer relationships, write orders, and drive growth with your hands-on approach and problem-solving skills.

This full-time role requires up to 75% travel, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will partner with the sales team to meet aggressive targets and deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years restaurant management, retail, or perishable food sales experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Sales Strategy and Execution: Identify and generate new customers; increase sales with additional line-item placements; generate leads and follow up; initiate sales with new clients.
• Customer Relationship Management: Provide guidance and service; support credit terms; communicate policies; participate in sales meetings.
• Financial Management and Reporting: Sell products at maximum margin; monitor sales volumes and margins; report variances to Sales Manager and Supervisor.
• Sales Support and Resource Utilization: Create and execute territory sales plans; prepare quotes and bid responses; use pricing guides; support promotional activities.

Summary: An Outside Sales Representative at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Sales team supporting the sales development and growth of our customers. This position develops customer accounts, writes orders, and exceeds customer expectations and is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, adaptable, and a problem-solver.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy and Execution
   • Identify and generate new customers, as well as increase demand for existing accounts.
   • Increase sales through additional line-item placements.
   • Generate leads independently and ensure thorough follow-up on provided accounts.
   • Initiate and control sales processes with new clients.
2. Customer Relationship Management
   • Provide guidance, assistance, and service to customers.
   • Communicate and support administrative personnel in managing customer credit terms.
   • Understand and positively communicate company policies and procedures.
   • Attend and actively participate in sales meetings to stay updated and aligned with company goals.
3. Financial Management and Reporting
   • Sell products at maximum profit margin while considering market pressures and competitors' positions.
   • Monitor sales volumes, distribution margins, and related measurements.
   • Report variances and implement corrective actions to Sales Manager and Sales Supervisor.
4. Sales Support and Resource Utilization
   • Create, maintain, and execute territory sales plans.
   • Prepare quotes and handle complex bid responses.
   • Utilize order and pricing guides effectively to streamline sales processes and ensure accuracy.
   • Support daily promotional activities such as push and extra value items.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What you bring to Pacific Seafood

Required:

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or comparable professional experience
• A minimum of 3-5 years restaurant management, retail, or perishable food sales experience
• Valid driver's license
• Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)

Preferred:

• Seafood/protein work experience
• Bilingual

Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member:

• Must be available to work Monday-Friday during regular working hours, with occasional weekend duties.
• Ability to maintain a stationary position 80% of the time, with intermittent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and/or crawling.
• Ability to move and transport documents, equipment, or other items weighing up to 50 pounds across various locations for different team members, departments, and events.
• Capable of occasional travel as required by duties, demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness in diverse locations.
• Capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, including a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
• Capable of frequently communicating with team members and stakeholders, accurately conveying detailed or important spoken instructions.
• Capable of perceiving visuals for activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, and engaging in extensive reading.
