Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow to advance laryngology using real-time machine learning, computer vision, and quantitative analysis of laryngoscopy videos.

You will develop, test, validate, and translate algorithms for tracking laryngeal anatomy, classifying examination states, and generating clinically meaningful video-derived metrics, collaborating with clinicians, engineers, and researchers.

Formación

• PhD or equivalent degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computational neuroscience, data science, statistics or closely related field.
• Strong experience with modern machine learning methods including deep learning, neural networks, computer vision, and rigorous evaluation strategies.
• Advanced programming skills in Python; experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow/Keras, OpenCV, Git, Linux/Unix; GPU-accelerated platforms; reproducible research workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Data Collection & Processing: curate clinical datasets, manage video data, annotations, and metadata with reproducible pipelines.
• Research & Analysis: develop deep learning and CV algorithms for real-time laryngeal tracking and state classification.
• Publication & Dissemination: lead manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and grant materials.
• Clinical & Translational Research Support: test algorithms in real workflows, plan clinical validation, and address regulatory considerations.
• General Research Support: maintain codebases, documentation, and milestones; mentor junior staff.
