Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong background in AI, ML, CV, or computational science.
• Excellent Python programming and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.
• Demonstrated scholarly publications in high-quality conferences and journals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary research environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI and computer vision algorithms to assess surgical performance from video.
• Design and evaluate video foundation models for skill assessment.
• Create explainable AI methods to provide formative feedback.
• Integrate multimodal data to improve assessment accuracy.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers and publish findings.
