Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a maintenance technician for the 2nd shift (4:00 PM – 2:30 AM) to perform electromechanical analysis and repair, and to maintain facilities and equipment supporting safety, quality and uptime at our Mocksville, NC site.

The role requires a high school diploma and a technical degree relevant to pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic circuits, PLCs, with experience in PLC software preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Technical degree in pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic circuits, PLC, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs recommended.
  • PLC software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electromechanical analysis and repair of equipment with multi-functional use.
  • Maintain facilities upkeep of grounds, building, fixtures and general maintenance duties.
  • Support routine equipment maintenance elements for safety, quality and preventative maintenance needs.
  • Assist maintenance shop activity within scope of authority and gain experience for advancement potential.
  • Make preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required and on time.
  • Evaluate equipment malfunctions with urgency to minimize downtime.
  • Modify equipment to improve safety, quality, productivity and reliability.
  • Perform welding and metal fabrication duties.
  • Train operators on proper use of equipment.

Job description

To provide support to overall maintenance duties and responsibilities for the 2nd shift production (4:00 PM – 2:30 AM).

  • Perform electromechanical analysis and repair of equipment with multi-functional use.
  • Maintain facilities upkeep of grounds, building, fixtures and general maintenance duties.
  • Support routine equipment maintenance elements for safety, quality and preventative maintenance needs.
  • Assist maintenance shop activity within scope of authority and gain experience for advancement potential.
  • Makes preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required and on time.
  • Assures that proper documentation is filled out and spare parts are accurately maintained and identified to provide rapid response to problems.
  • Evaluate equipment malfunctions with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime.
  • Modify equipment as necessary to improve safety, quality, productivity and reliability.
  • Perform tasks in a quality fashion by meeting or exceeding the internal customers’ requirements.
  • Ability to perform welding and metal fabrication duties.
  • Follows and promotes on the job safety expectations. (eyes, ears and L.O.T.O.)
  • Maintains proper housekeeping expectations.
  • Tries out equipment after repair and leaves it and the area in a clean safe condition.
  • Train operators on the proper use of equipment.
Qualifications

  • Technical degree in pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic circuits, PLC, and Electro-mechanical trouble shooting (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
