SpeedPro Windy City in Downers Grove, IL, seeks a skilled Wide-Format Print Technician to own print output from preflight to finish, ensuring color accuracy and efficient material use.

You will operate HP Latex and Canon Colorado printers, manage RIP workflows, and collaborate with sales, design, and install teams to deliver high-impact graphics for clients.

We value quick turnaround, right-the-first-time output, and quality, with opportunities for training and advancement in a national network.

Qualifications

• 2+ years operating wide-format inkjet in a commercial print/sign environment.
• Hands-on with HP Latex, Canon Colorado or comparable printers.
• Experience with RIP software and color management.
• Prepress and preflight skills using Adobe suite.
• Know-how of vinyl films and laminates.

Responsibilities

• Preflight files for resolution, bleed, color, fonts and dimensions before press.
• Set up and run jobs through RIP profiles, nesting, tiling, color management.
• Operate printers, laminators and plotters, perform daily maintenance.
• Print, laminate, contour cut and finish signage to spec.
• Match color to brand standards and reprint when needed.
• Check finished pieces against work orders before delivery.
• Track ink, media and minimize waste.
• Pack and prepare orders for pickup or shipping.
