Job summary

UCS, Inc. in Lincolnton, NC is seeking a hands-on Print Operator to support fast-paced production. You will load materials, run large format printers, and verify print quality to meet specifications.

The role requires teamwork, good communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior printing experience is preferred but not required, and basic Adobe tools knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing or graphic design Knowledge software’s is a plus.
• Previous experience in a printing environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with large format printing processes and equipment is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. materials and stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving repetitive motions.
• Basic knowledge of file preparation software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain print media, including loading materials and ensuring proper alignment.
• Operate large format finishing equipment, such as laminators, cutters, and trimmers.
• Conduct quality checks on printed materials to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot minor issues with printing equipment and assist in routine maintenance.
• Handle pre-press tasks, including organizing files, checking for quality and accuracy, and ensuring files are print-ready.
• Organize and manage the print queue to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Keep the workspace clean and organized, adhering to safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Maintain inventory of printing supplies.
