Capital Electric's Utilities Division in San Antonio, TX seeks an experienced Large Excavator Operator to support multiple sites. The role involves operating backhoes, loaders, skid steers, and excavators, excavating near energized utilities, digging trenches, and assisting ground crews while maintaining safety standards.

You will perform daily equipment inspections, communicate hazards, and ensure work aligns with project timelines and budgets. Strong safety mindset required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of excavation experience using heavy machinery.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Able to maneuver heavy machinery in confined spaces.
• Physical capability to perform assigned labor tasks.
• Experience with PPE and safety protocols.

Responsabilités

• Operate heavy equipment (backhoes, loaders, skid steers, excavators) across sites.
• Excavate around energized utilities with spotter.
• Dig pits, trenches, and holes for construction prep.
• Move materials and clear work sites.
• Assist crews with material installation as needed.
• Identify hazards around utilities and communicate risks.
• Follow safety policies and report issues.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and documentation.
