Job summary

Rcbpi is seeking a Large Corrective Level III to lead teams in major corrective repairs and replacements. You will oversee project aspects while ensuring safety and quality standards. The role also involves daily reporting and supporting team selection and training.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in large correctives, strong communication skills, and be physically able to work in challenging environments. A high school diploma or GED, along with computer skills, is required.

Qualifications

  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain DOT physical.
  • Must pass a pre-hire drug screen.
  • Flexible travel schedule, with up to 100% travel.
  • Physically able to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Job description

The Large Corrective Level III role involves leading teams to carry out all major corrective repairs and replacements while following safety policies and procedures. This position also requires providing project updates to the manager and promptly communicating any challenges and recommendations. Additionally, the role entitles overseeing all aspects of the assigned project, including completing paperwork and submitting daily reports.

Essential Functions Statement(s):
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Lead and support teams of technicians.
  • Perform major up-tower component replacements for multiple turbine platforms, including GE, Nordex, Siemens, Vestas, and Gamesa.
  • Ability to swap out major components such as blades, gearboxes, generators, pitch bearings, rotors, and hubs.
  • Provide technical execution guidance and support for large correctives.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems in the field.
  • Ensure efficient, high quality, customer focused results that meet or exceed cost and schedule standards.
  • Communicate project activities daily to site manager or site supervisor.
  • Complete required paperwork (e.g. service reports, timecards, expense reports, etc)
  • Send daily reports to the site manager and large corrective manager.
  • Send weekly truck and trailer reports to Large Corrective Manager.
  • Assist in the selection and training of team members.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, which may include different types of wind turbine maintenance.
Position Qualifications/Skills
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in large correctives.
  • Must have at least one year of experience flagging and performing 2X GE component replacements.
  • Driving is an essential function of the job, and applicants must have a valid driver’s license at the time of application and an acceptable driving record. Employees must maintain a valid license and acceptable driving record and may be subject to periodic DMV checks of their license.
  • Must be able to obtain a DOT physical.
  • Must pass a pre-hire drug screen.
  • Flexible travel schedule, with up to 100% travel.
  • Physically and mentally able to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Education: High School Graduate or GED

Experience: 5+ years’ experience in wind with 3 years of Large Corrective

Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook

Certificates & Licenses: OSHA
