Ziegler Caterpillar is seeking a full-time Large Bore Engine Assembly Technician in our Bloomington Rebuild Center. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm. Starting wage is $27–$45 per hour, with location-based variations. Employees receive comprehensive benefits including medical, PTO, holidays, 401(k) and more.

Responsibilities include assembling Cat engines (3500, C27, C32, C175), following SOPs, maintaining safety, collaborating with teammates, and pursuing ongoing training to enhance skills.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college in diesel technology or 2 years shop experience.
• 2+ years large bore engine assembly experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with supervisors and teammates.
• Basic computer skills to document work orders.

Responsibilities

• Assemble large bore engines (Cat 3500, C27, C32, C175).
• Document and follow Cat and Ziegler SOPs.
• Work safely and follow company policies and standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians on repairs and rebuilds.
• Participate in ongoing training to grow skills.
