Job summary

Ziegler CAT in Bloomington, MN is seeking a full-time Large Bore Engine Assembly Technician to work on Cat engine components. Hours are Monday–Friday, 3:30pm–12am.

This role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a long-standing CAT dealer with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. The candidate should have a 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years of large bore engine assembly experience.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience
• 2+ years of relevant large bore engine assembly experience preferred
• Ability to write and communicate effectively and interact with supervisors, customers and team members
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems
• Tools provided
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Assemble large bore engines including but not limited to Cat 3500 series, Cat C27, C32 and C175 series engines
• Document and follow Cat and Ziegler standard operating procedures
• Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standards
• Work collaboratively and assist other technicians as needed regarding repairs and rebuilds
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and grow product knowledge
