Job summary

Quest Global Technologies is seeking a PHP backend developer to join our software engineering team in the United States. You will work on server-side components using PHP frameworks, especially Laravel, and collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements.

You’ll design efficient, secure PHP modules, tackle performance and architectural challenges, and integrate multiple data sources and storage solutions across environments. Emphasis on code quality and tests.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience on PHP web frameworks (such as Laravel).
• Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP and accessibility and security compliance.
• Understanding of MVC design patterns & front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming & common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds & SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• 2-4 years of experience on PHP web frameworks.
