Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking a technician to test, diagnose, repair, and refurbish laptop PC circuit boards. You will perform hand soldering, SMT, and BGA rework, replacing faulty components as needed and verifying repairs through testing.

Strong reading of schematics and use of test equipment are essential. The role requires an AA/AS in electronics or 3 years related experience, with hands-on soldering and PCB repair skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree in electronics, or 3 years related experience in electronics repair.
• Extensive troubleshooting, soldering, and repairing multi-layer PCBs down to component level.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose laptop/notebook PCB failures.
• Repair/replace faulty components using through-hole, SMT, and high-temperature soldering.
• Conduct testing using written or verbal descriptions/diagrams.
• Perform quality inspections of finished work.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
• Order parts for repairs and report trends to supervisors.
• Handle extensive PCB test and cleanup tasks.
