Job summary

Accumet Engineering Corp in Harvard, MA is seeking a skilled machine operator to perform precise lapping and polishing tasks aligned to customer specs. The position operates Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with an hourly rate of $15–$17 depending on experience. Prior machine shop experience is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed lapping and polishing operations to meet customer specifications.
• Verify conformance of work in process and finished work against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calibers, drop indicators, etc.
• Read and interpret drawings or work from process travelers.
• Verify correct materials, quantities and production requirements per work order instructions.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Meet production quality and quantity standards.
