Job summary

Vishay Centerline is seeking a Diamond Polisher Operator to join our Hudson, MA team on the 2nd shift (2pm-12:30am Mon-Thurs, 4 day week). You will set up and operate lapping equipment to process ceramic and advanced materials to meet customer specifications for thickness, flatness and surface finish.

You will read travelers, measure dimensions, mix slurries, document production, and maintain equipment while adhering to quality and safety procedures; manufacturing experience and a high school

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions and use precision measuring tools.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude are essential.
• Lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods are expected.
• Experience with lapping, polishing, or machining is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lapping machines.
• Lap ceramic and advanced materials.
• Monitor material removal rates.
• Prepare and mix lapping slurries.
• Load and unload fixtures.
• Read travelers and work instructions.
• Measure thickness and dimensions.
• Inspect parts during processing.
• Condition lapping plates.
• Complete production documentation.
• Maintain equipment and a clean work area (5S).
• Report equipment issues and follow safety procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement.

Responsible for setting up and operating precision lapping equipment to process ceramic, glass, and advanced material substrates to customer specifications for thickness, flatness, parallelism, and surface finish.

2nd Shift 2pm-12:30am Mon-Thurs (4 day work week)

What you will be doing:
