Job summary

Vishay Centerline in Hudson, MA is seeking a Diamond Polisher Operator to set up and operate precision lapping equipment, processing ceramic and advanced materials to meet thickness, flatness, and surface finish specs.

The role requires reading travelers, inspecting parts, maintaining equipment, and following 5S and safety rules. 2nd shift Mon-Thu 2pm-12:30am.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions.
• Use precision measuring tools; basic math skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lapping machines.
• Lap ceramic and advanced materials.
• Monitor material removal rates.
• Prepare and mix lapping slurries.
• Load and unload fixtures.
• Read travelers and work instructions.
• Measure thickness and dimensions.
• Inspect parts during processing.
• Condition lapping plates.
• Complete production documentation.
• Maintain equipment and 5S clean environment.
• Report equipment issues and follow safety procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement.

Responsible for setting up and operating precision lapping equipment to process ceramic, glass, and advanced material substrates to customer specifications for thickness, flatness, parallelism, and surface finish.

2nd Shift 2pm-12:30am Mon-Thurs (4 day work week)

• Set up and operate lapping machines
• Lap ceramic and advanced materials
