Position

Lapping Operator – on‑site, first shift machine shop at Vishay Centerline in Hudson, Massachusetts. On‑site role with flexible training available.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, operating, and maintaining lapping machines.
• Checking tables and machines for accuracy.
• Cutting fixtures with scroll saw.
• Measuring pieces before, during, and after processing.
• Determining optimal run‑time for each job based on specifications.
• Loading parts and operating 1–2 machines at a time.
• Flipping and rotating parts to ensure an even finish.
• Changing slurries as needed.
• Standing at the machine throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination and finger dexterity (required).
• Experience handling small and fragile parts.
• Strong attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Self‑motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.
