Bay Converting Inc. in Lansing, MI is seeking a Machine Operator for our new location. You will operate and set up laminators and band saws, ensure quality, and move materials efficiently to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain active throughout the shift.
• Previous fiberglass insulation or manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and operate laminators and band saws.
• Complete daily equipment safety inspections and scheduled maintenance.
• Adjust machine settings to meet production and customer specifications.
• Perform quality and compliance checks throughout production.
• Track production, waste, downtime, and material usage accurately; stage materials to keep production running smoothly.
• Assist with loading, unloading, packaging, and shipping as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory and production records.
• Ensure finished products are properly labeled, stored, and prepared for shipment.
• Keep the production area clean, organized, and safe.
• Collaborate with General Laborers to maintain efficient workflow.
• Follow safety procedures and promptly communicate equipment or workplace concerns.

What You'll Do
