Job summary

Language Trainers is seeking a freelance part-time Portuguese teacher for a 1:1 client in El Paso, TX. The lessons will take place at the client's home (1900 Saul Kleinfeld, El Paso, TX 79936) and will cover a 30-hour course with two-hour sessions weekly.

Start ASAP and schedule is flexible. Ideal candidates are native Portuguese speakers or hold a teaching degree, with prior language teaching, translation, or interpretation experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter.
• Have a valid working visa.
• Live within 20 miles of the client’s location.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one Portuguese lessons.
• Prepare student for the CIPLE exam and citizenship requirements (55%).
• Travel to the client’s home in El Paso, TX for sessions.
• Offer flexible scheduling; freelance part-time engagements.

Language Trainers is a successful language training company working with freelance teachers of 70 different languages in hundreds of towns and cities across the world. Students are either in‑company or self‑funded who need to learn a language at their office or home for work, family or travel reasons. We might have a job for you as a Portuguese teacher.

Course Details

• One of our clients would like to have one‑to‑one Portuguese classes for exam preparation.
• This student wishes to have classes at her home at approx. 1900 Saul Kleinfeld El Paso, TX 79936.
• She would like to have a 30‑hour course.
• Classes of two hours should be held once per week on any day of the week (including weekends) at a time of your convenience in the afternoon, and she wishes to start ASAP.
• SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT: experience with exam prep. She needs to pass the CIPLE exam with 55% for citizenship.

Ideal Teacher

• Be a native Portuguese speaker OR hold a teaching degree.
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter.
• Have a valid working visa.
• Live within 20 miles of the client’s location.

Location and schedule could be flexible based on your and the client’s availability. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. This is a freelance part‑time position, and we are not able to sponsor your visa.
