We’re searching for a Supervisor Interpreter, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will support the provisions of interpretation services through high quality training, competency assessments, and activities reporting as well as maintaining individual competency through the provision of interpretation services.

Qualifications:
•H.S. Diploma or GED required
•Bachelor's Degree preferred
•Evidence of advanced training in interpretation and/ or translation services is preferred
•4 years related healthcare experience
•2 years medical interpreter/translator experience required.

An assessment of proficiency in oral and written English and at least one other language will be evaluated prior to hire. Advanced proficiency must be demonstrated in the Health Care Interpreter Assessment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•Coordinate and oversee activities related to interpretation services.
•Ensure adequate coverage for all appointments scheduled.
•Collaborate with Department Assistant and Senior Interpreters to rearrange schedule in order to match appropriate interpreters with appointments and meetings.
•Develops and completes reports related to interpretation activities.
•Facilitate projects related to addressing opportunities in language assistance programs.
•Work collaboratively and proactively with department assistant and senior interpreter to plan, lead and execute all department efforts with operational and service excellence. Support and enhance great customer service.
•Maintains current knowledge of departmental/organizational policy and procedures, and regulatory requirements. Ensures compliance with interpreters and staff.
•Participates in projects outlined by leadership.
•Provide interpretation services.
