Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a PRN Medical Interpreter for Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. The interpreter will cover on-call nights, weekends and holidays, ensuring accurate interpretation for patients and caregivers with limited English proficiency.

Requirements include 3-5 years interpreting experience and fluency in a foreign language, with a High School Diploma and 40-hour interpreter training preferred. Medical Translator Certificate is highly preferred.

The candidate will cover on-call nights, weekends and holidays as needed.As the Language Interpreter, you will be responsible for clearly and accurately interpreting between target language and source language for caregivers and patients/companions who have limited proficiency in English. This position may also involve over-the-phone interpretation and sight translation of documents.
