Works under general supervision of Manager Language Services Department. This job is responsible for the accurate interpretation/translation of healthcare information to/from Spanish‑speaking patients, patient families to members of the care team. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights & weekends to help department operations close gaps in coverage. The ideal candidate has one (1) year of language interpretation experience within a healthcare setting.

Employment is contingent upon successfully passing the UT Southwestern Language Services language and medical terminology proficiency assessment in both English and the target language with a minimum score of 80%.
