Job summary

Global Village Academy is seeking a Classroom Teacher to develop, plan, and implement curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs within language-immersion settings across Colorado campuses.

As a teacher, you will promote critical thinking, differentiate instruction, and foster achievement for all students through engaging, standards-aligned lessons and ongoing assessments. Evenings and school-based duties may occur as part of the role.

Qualifications

• BA or BS from an accredited College or University.
• PLACE or PRAXIS preferred.
• Valid Colorado Department of Education License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate sound professional teaching and class management skills to facilitate learning.
• Use oral and written language skills accurately and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of student academic and behavioral progress, attendance, test scores and personal information.
• Carry out daily formal and informal assessments of student achievement.
• School-based setting with regular interaction with students, staff, and families.
• Occasional evening meetings and events may be required.
• Integrate the assessments to design appropriate lesson planning and effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse student needs and learning styles.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student, family and colleague information to be a role model of respectful behavior at all times.
