Job summary

Responsibilities

• Contributes to an organized, smooth classroom environment to maximize student access to instruction and resources.
• Provides academic and classroom support to students under the direction of a certified teacher.
• Assists individual students and small groups to reinforce material and skills as directed by teachers.
• Helps develop positive relationships with students and collaborates with school staff.
• Supports social and emotional needs within a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Prepare for instructional events and other educational activities under supervision of a certified teacher.
• Assist with non-instructional duties including attendance checks, supervision, and materials management.
• Support administrative duties and participate in professional development as appropriate.
