Job summary

Heritage Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dependable Landscaping Specialist in Albuquerque to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces across our properties. You will monitor plant health, irrigation performance and coordinate with property leaders to ensure pristine grounds and water-conscious practices.

Applicants should have at least one year in landscaping or groundskeeping, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of professional landscaping or groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Experience with irrigation or property maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, trees and plantings across properties.
• Monitor plant health and address pest, disease, soil, and watering concerns.
• Inspect irrigation systems, adjust schedules and perform basic repairs.
• Prioritize needs and propose improvements for appearance and water use.
• Operate landscaping tools and equipment safely.
• Coordinate projects with property leaders, facilities teams and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards and report issues promptly.
• Keep outdoor spaces clean, safe and welcoming to guests.

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Landscaping Specialist to join our team! As a Landscaping Specialist, you will help shape the beauty, character and first impression of Heritage Companies’ distinctive properties. This role goes beyond routine groundskeeping by taking ownership of plant health, irrigation performance and the overall quality of assigned outdoor spaces. Your knowledge and attention to detail will create welcoming environments for guests, employees and the communities we serve while protecting and enhancing some of New Mexico’s most unique hospitality destinations.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs and seasonal plantings across assigned properties.
• Monitor plant health and identify pest, disease, soil and watering concerns.
• Inspect irrigation systems, adjust schedules and complete basic repairs to sprinkler heads, drip lines and timers.
• Independently prioritize landscaping needs and recommend improvements that support property appearance and water conservation.
• Safely operate and maintain landscaping tools, vehicles and powered equipment.
• Coordinate landscaping projects with property leaders, facilities teams and outside vendors.
• Identify and report safety hazards, equipment issues and larger repair needs.
• Maintain clean, safe and welcoming outdoor spaces that reflect Heritage’s property and guest-service standards.
• Perform other duties consistent with the functions of this position as needed at the property

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of professional landscaping, groundskeeping, irrigation or property-maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience maintaining commercial, hospitality or multifamily properties is preferred.
• Irrigation repair, pesticide application or related landscaping certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record may be required.
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems and water-efficient landscaping.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping tools and powered equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high-quality outdoor spaces.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and work effectively with limited supervision.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality and time-management skills.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to frequently walk, stand, climb, lift, stoop, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible scheduling required including long hours nights weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
