Job summary

Level Green Landscaping in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a full-time small equipment mechanic for our BWI shop. You will service ground care gear, stand-on Toro mowers, and other landscape equipment to keep operations safe and reliable.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with small engines, fluid changes, and various power sources (gas, diesel, electric). You must lift up to 50 lbs, be tech-savvy, and be able to travel to other offices. DOT certification is required.

Qualifications

• Small engine repair knowledge for 2-cycle engines and grounds care equipment.
• Ability to change oil, hydraulic fluids, and other fluids across equipment.
• Knowledge of Toro commercial stand-on mowers.
• Experience with gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment.
• Tech-savvy and able to learn new computer software."
• Knowledge of tire repair and maintenance.
• Mechanical and diagnostic ability.
• Experience managing shop personnel.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles, skid loaders, and other landscape equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on stand-on mowers and other landscape equipment.
• Keep a clean, organized parts and inventory room.
• Perform monthly equipment preventative maintenance on skid loaders.
• Lift/pull heavy objects up to 50 lbs. with proper techniques.
• Demonstrate initiative and work with minimal supervision.
• Deliver accurate, quality work reflecting company standards.

What we’re seeking:

• Small engine repair knowledge for 2-cycle engines: grounds care, landscape, and snow and ice equipment.
• Ability to change oil, hydraulic, and all other necessary fluids in a variety of different vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge of Toro commercial stand-on mowers
• Working knowledge of the general operation of gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment.
• A tech-savvy individual, able to pick up new computer software.
• Knowledge of tire repair and maintenance.

You may be a good candidate if:

• MUST be authorized to work in the United States and have a valid Driver’s License
• Maintain and repair vehicles, skid loaders, and other landscape equipment.
• Maintenance and repairs of our equipment, such as stand-on mowers and other landscape equipment.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and well-organized parts and inventory room.
• Perform monthly equipment preventative maintenance of skid and loaders.
• Lift/pull heavy objects of at least 50 lbs.
• Demonstrate independent action and resourcefulness on the job. Perform duties in an acceptable manner and with minimal supervision.
• Remain self-motivated and deliver work product that is detail-oriented and reflects company quality standards.
• Valid and current driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to different offices; the company will pay mileage.
• Applicant must provide their own tools.
• DOT Medical Certification required

Salary: $20-$25 per hour (based on experience)
