Role and Responsibilities

The Landscaping Crew Member will assist with daily landscaping tasks on the base. Your responsibilities include completing landscaping duties safely and efficiently under supervision.

• Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment daily.
• Landscaping Tasks:
  • Trim hedges and remove weeds.
  • Maintain landscaping beds.
  • Mow, rake, edge, and hand-prune plants.
  • Spray lawns, shrubs, and trees.
  • Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
  • Water lawns and shrubs.
• Clean drainage ditches and culverts.
• Operate machinery safely, including tractors with attachments (mowers, fertilizer spreaders, etc.).
• Wear safety gear and notify the Crew Leader of unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate with the Crew Leader to ensure standards are met in assigned areas.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary; training provided!

Preferred Skills

• Minimum of one year landscaping experience preferred.

Physical & Environmental Demands

• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects regularly.
• Stamina for physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Exposure to noise, dust, and dirt from equipment.
• Ability to handle hazardous materials safely.
• Must wear PPE and follow safety guidelines.
• Reasonable accommodations available.
