Job summary

Capital Land Design is seeking an experienced bilingual Landscape Construction Crew Leader to supervise field crews and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to our quality standards.

The ideal candidate will direct crews, assign tasks, monitor progress, coordinate tools and materials, and act as the main bridge between field employees and the Operations Manager. Located in Liberty Hill, pay is based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Experience in landscape construction and crew leadership is required.
• Experience operating skid steer and pulling/backing trailers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and motivate landscape construction crews.
• Assign daily tasks based on abilities and project requirements.
• Monitor progress, productivity, and workmanship to keep projects on schedule.
• Prepare and coordinate tools, equipment, and materials for each project.
• Serve as the primary communication link between field crews and the Operations Manager.
• Report progress, delays, and site issues to management.
• Train and mentor employees on construction methods, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain safe, clean, organized job sites and equipment.

Capital Land Design is seeking an experienced, bilingual Landscape Construction Crew Leader to supervise field crews and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to our quality standards.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct, supervise, and motivate landscape construction crews.
• Assign daily tasks based on employee abilities and project requirements.
• Monitor daily progress, productivity, and workmanship to keep projects on schedule.
• Prepare and coordinate the tools, equipment, and materials required for each project.
• Serve as the primary point of communication between field employees and the Operations Manager.
• Report project progress, delays, material shortages, job-site issues, and other important information.
• Train and mentor employees on proper construction methods, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
• Enforce company safety policies and maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Maintain company trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment.
• Address unexpected site conditions, scheduling challenges, employee concerns, and material shortages.
• Read and follow landscape plans, project specifications, and installation details.
• Ensure completed work meets Capital Land Design's standards for quality, detail, and professionalism.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experienced in landscape construction
• Proven crew leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience operating a skid steer and other construction equipment.
• Experience safely pulling, backing, and maneuvering trailers.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and make sound decisions in the field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Irrigation experience
• Masonry and hardscape construction experience.
• Experience with drainage, retaining walls, concrete, grading, sod installation, and complete landscape installations.
