Six Flags Great America & Hurricane Harbor is seeking a part-time Landscaping Assistant to support our full-time team in caring for park grounds. You will assist with mowing, planting, and general landscape maintenance to keep the park looking its best.

The role offers a day shift during summer hours (6am-2:30pm) and weekends, with 18+ age requirement and a focus on teamwork. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and PTO where applicable.

Responsabilités

• Keep turf grass mowed and trimmed.
• Water plant materials as needed.
• Transplant trees, shrubs, groundcovers, and flowers.
• Prune plant material.
• Pull weeds throughout the parks.
• Spread mulch in shrub beds.
• Assist with snow removal.
• Follow Six Flags safety policies and attendance rules.
• Complete tasks assigned by management.
• Maintain Six Flags appearance standards.

Overview

Assisting our Full-Time Landscaping Team as they work on the landscaping through our park! Must be 18 years or older.

This position is eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits and Paid Time Off.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Keeping all turf grass neatly mowed and trimmed


• Watering of plant materials on an as needed basis


• Transplanting of trees, shrubs, groundcovers, and flowers


• Pruning of plant materials


• Pulling weeds throughout the parks


• Spreading mulch throughout shrub beds


• Help with snow removal


• Comply with all Six Flags Safety and Fire responsibilities, policies, and procedures


• Adhere to Park attendance policy as stated in the Six Flags Handbook


• Follow and complete all delegated tasks deemed by management


• Adhere to Six Flags Standards of Appearance

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum Age: 18


• Specific Availability: Day shift (7am-3:30pm) summer hours (6am-2:30pm) and weekends


• Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions


• Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude


• Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
