Superior Image Lawn Care & Maintenance LLC is seeking a Landscaper II to perform advanced landscaping tasks on commercial and residential properties in Orlando, FL. The role requires operating walk-behind and riding mowers, edging, trimming, and maintaining beds with limited supervision.

Candidates should have landscaping experience and hands-on use of Level 1 and 2 equipment, with a focus on quality, safety, and reliable teamwork with the crew leader.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED - required.
• Previous landscaping experience - required.
• Level 1 equipment (mowers, line trimmers, edgers, backpack blowers) experience - required.
• Level 2 equipment (hedge trimmers, pole saws, chainsaws, bed edger) experience - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf with walk-behind and riding mowers, edge and trim using gas powered equipment.
• Rotate mow patterns weekly to protect turf health.
• Install and maintain mulch beds and flower beds.
• Assist with seasonal color installation.
• Prune shrubs and low trees with hedge trimmers, pole saws, and chainsaws as needed.
• Discharge clippings away from vehicles, windows, and structures.
• Assist newer team members in completing work correctly.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and trailers.

Job description

The Landscaper II works with less oversight than an entry level crew member, handling more of each property independently and helping keep quality consistent across the crew. This role takes on more advanced equipment and tasks, and often serves as a go to for newer team members learning the ropes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cut turf using walk-behind and riding mowers, edge and trim using gas powered equipment, and operate a gas powered blower
• Rotate mow patterns weekly as directed to protect turf health
• Execute work according to site specific instructions and client requests with minimal supervision
• Install and maintain mulch beds and flower beds
• Assist with seasonal color installation
• Prune shrubs and low trees using hedge trimmers, pole saws, and chainsaws as needed
• Edge beds using a bed edger
• Discharge clippings and debris away from vehicles, windows, and structures
• Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe
• Assist newer team members in completing work correctly
• Assist the Crew Leader with equipment and vehicle inspections
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and trailers
• Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with clients
• Proactively communicate quality concerns to the Crew Leader
• Enthusiastic and dependable

Education and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or GED - required
• Previous landscaping experience - required
• Level 1 equipment (mowers, line trimmers, edgers, backpack blowers) experience - required
• Level 2 equipment (hedge trimmers, pole saws, chainsaws, bed edger) experience - preferred

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
• Ability to load and unload materials onto a trailer, up to 50 lbs
• Strong stamina and ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and humidity for extended periods
• Able to safely operate landscaping equipment
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, and walk continuously throughout the day
• Able to perform manual labor using hand tools
• Able to wear required PPE (safety shoes, high visibility clothing, hand, eye, and hearing protection)
• Work outdoors in moderate to extreme heat, high humidity, and occasional rain
• Work near vehicle traffic, mechanical equipment, and standard landscaping hazards
• Extended periods of loud equipment noise
• Exposure to common outdoor allergens, insects, and wildlife (bees, spiders, lizards, snakes)
