• Edge beds using a bed edger.
• Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe.
• Follow instructions from the Crew Leader and senior team members.
• Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with clients.
• Communicate quality concerns or questions to the Crew Leader.

Job description

The Landscaper I works under the direct oversight of the crew leader and senior crew members, learning to complete core landscaping tasks to a consistent standard. This role focuses on developing core mowing, trimming, and site-care skills while building toward more independent work.

This is a part-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week.

Education and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years old

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
• Ability to load and unload materials onto a trailer, up to 50lbs
• Strong stamina and ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and humidity for extended periods
• Able to safely operate landscaping equipment
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, and walk continuously throughout the day
• Able to perform manual labor using hand tools
• Able to wear required PPE (safety shoes, high visibility clothing, hand, eye, and hearing protection)
• Work outdoors in moderate to extreme heat, high humidity, and occasional rain
• Work near vehicle traffic, mechanical equipment, and standard landscaping hazards
• Extended periods of loud equipment noise
• Exposure to common outdoor allergens, insects, and wildlife (bees, spiders, lizards, snakes)

Schedule and Employment Details

• Field hours are generally Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional Saturday work as a make-up day for weather or missed routes
• First 30 days of employment is a probationary period
• Equipment use is certification-based (Level 1 through Level 3); you may only operate equipment matching your current certification level, with training provided for advancement
• Uniform and required PPE must be worn on the job; grooming and appearance standards apply
• Pay is biweekly, paid by direct deposit
