Job summary

The Seattle Housing Authority is seeking a landscaper to join our maintenance team at 810 Martin Luther King Jr Way S, Seattle. You will perform general groundskeeping duties, operate power equipment, and assist with installing and maintaining sprinkler systems.

Qualifications

• Experience performing general groundskeeping or manual work involving construction or maintenance.
• Ability to operate power equipment and perform routine landscaping tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment, such as riding and push lawn mowers, blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, edgers, sod cutters, lawn aerators, and 4-wheel all-purpose vehicles
• Perform routine landscaping such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and watering grass, flowers, and shrubbery
• Trim trees from ground level; remove leaves and branches
• Install and maintain automatic grounds sprinkler systems
• Wash and maintain grounds equipment
• Remove trash from facilities and grounds
• Install and replace landscaping; apply fertilizer and pesticides
