Job summary

Seattle Housing Authority is seeking a landscaper to join our team. The role involves a variety of duties in general landscaping and grounds maintenance at our Seattle sites.

The ideal candidate will have experience with groundskeeping or manual maintenance work and be able to operate common power equipment. This is an on-site position at our Seattle facilities, with opportunities to contribute to a vibrant community-focused organization.

• Experience performing general groundskeeping or manual work involving construction or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment such as mowing machines, blowers, trimmers and edgers.
• Perform routine landscaping tasks: mowing, trimming, weeding, watering grass and plants.
• Trim trees from ground level; remove leaves and branches.
• Install and maintain sprinkler systems; wash and maintain grounds equipment.
• Remove trash from facilities and grounds.
• Install and replace landscaping; apply fertilizer and pesticides.

The position:We’re looking for a landscaper to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who can perform a variety of duties as directed within the field of general landscaping.

The Location: 810 Martin Luther King Jr Way S. Seattle, WA 98144

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience performing general groundskeeping or manual work involving construction or maintenance

What will you do?

• Operate power equipment, such as riding and push lawn mowers, blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, edgers, sod cutters, lawn aerators, and 4-wheel all-purpose vehicles
• Perform routine landscaping such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and watering grass, flowers, and shrubbery
• Trim trees from ground level; remove leaves and branches
• Install and maintain automatic grounds sprinkler systems
• Wash and maintain grounds equipment
• Remove trash from facilities and grounds
• Install and replace landscaping; apply fertilizer and pesticides
